David Morley, 39, of Church Crescent, Hamilton Parish, appeared in court last week charged with the theft of 25 lilies from farmer Joseph Pacheco earlier this month.

Although the attorney is denying the charge, a short statement from his employers, Milligan-Whyte and Smith, released yesterday, confirmed that Mr.

Morley had quit his post.

The statement, from managing partner Orlando Smith, read: "Mr. Morley, while maintaining his innocence in respect to the charge pending in Magistrate's Court, has resigned from this firm.'' COURTS CTS
