Painted in acrylic on paper, it is just one of the paintings that goes on show in her solo exhibition at Heritage House this week.
One of Bermuda's leading young artists, Mrs. Dill has a degree in art education from the University of Georgia. This will be her third one-woman show at Heritage House.
Working out of her Devonshire home, Mrs. Dill also devotes much of her time to teaching art to young children. Already well known for her distinctive studies of Bermudian architecture, Mrs. Dill, who is married to fellow Bermudian Sean Dill, says she credits her former art teacher in the Saltus/Bermuda High School programme, Mrs. Maurine Cooper, who encouraged her to make a career in art a reality.
Recent Paintings by Margaret Downing Dill opens to the public at the Front Street gallery on Saturday, April 23.
