RSL expecting Q3 revenues of about $375m to $380m
Bermuda-based business telecommunications provider RSL Communications Ltd.
said on Friday it was expecting third-quarter revenues of about $375 million to $380 million after a slow summer and a strong US dollar that negatively affected sales.
Hamilton-based RSL also said it is also expecting a loss from operations, before depreciation and amortisation, of $40 million to $45 million for the quarter.
RSL further said it expects expenses to increase as a result of severance paid in connection with layoffs, primarily at company headquarters, as well as increased data sales efforts on higher margin products and increased customer acquisition costs.
Chief Executive Paul Domorski said in a statement the company expects to announce `important actions' during the next several weeks aimed at helping the company.
He added that certain operations that are not expected to generate positive returns may be sold, restructured or discontinued with related charges expected in the fourth quarter.
