Voter registration rises for election

And 298 people have been added to the 1998/99 Parliamentary Register, which will be available today.
A total of 36,385 eligible people registered to vote this year.
The register can be viewed at all Post Offices, Police Stations, libraries and at the Registrar's office in the Government Administration Building.
The Acting Parliamentary Registrar will also publish the 1998/99 Draft Register on Friday which shows voters in their new constituencies.
These boundary changes were proposed by the Constituency Boundaries Commission in 1995.
Some 1,648 householders have been moved from one constituency to another.
Members of the public who have been affected by constituency changes will have until July 10 to inform the Registrar of any objection to an entry or errors in the transfer of their name.
