A number of the Bay players were otherwise committed on the holiday, forcing the BCBC to a second change after St. George's Cricket Club initially backed away from the match.

National team captain Albert Steede will lead the team with Charlie Marshall the vice-captain.

The board has taken this opportunity to include several players who are not in the national set-up at present, such as Lionel Cann, Quinton Burch, Cleon Scotland and Roger Blades.

St. George's fast bowler Kenny Phillips has been given a chance to get back into the board's good books while Western Stars spinner Wayne Richardson may see action at long last for a select against foreign opposition.
