The complaint against Mr. Kierans was proved last month by a disciplinary committee appointed by the Bar Council.

Mr. Kierans is a barrister with Hamilton firm Mello, Hollis, Jones & Martin.

An official notice about the disciplinary action has been published under the Bermuda Bar Act 1974.

Yesterday Mr. John Cooper, president of the Bar Association, said he was forbidden by law from disclosing details about the complaint.

Mr. Kierans could not be reached for comment.
