directing traffic after his wife was involved in a car accident! Mr. Furbert took over traffic control after wife Ulene's car was in a collision with a vehicle at the North Shore Road and Middle Road junction in Flatts.

Mr. Furbert -- travelling a few cars behind his wife, who was unhurt -- said: "I heard squealing brakes and a crash. I said to myself `I hope it's not my wife', but it was. I got out of my car and stood up there directing traffic.''
