PHC look to bounce back

their winning ways tonight at BAA Field when they battle with Dandy Town for a place in the next round of the Friendship Trophy.

The Zebras ended the first half of the league campaign with their first loss on Sunday, going down 1-0 to Wolves.

It was a result that opened up the championship race, for if second-placed Vasco beat Devonshire Colts this Friday night, PHC's lead at the top will be cut to just one point.

PHC should have strikers Stephen Astwood and Kenny Mills available for tonight's match, both having missed the weekend game -- Astwood serving a one match ban after being sent off in the draw against Somerset.

Town will be without Lionel Furbert who received a red card during their 4-1 thrashing of Devonshire Colts on Sunday while top scorer Darron Simons will also be missing as he is abroad.

The game is an important one for Town as they face the prospect of being eliminated from two cups in the space of four days.

On Friday night they will rely on Vasco beating Devonshire Colts in order to join PHC, Vasco and cup holders North Village in the Dudley Eve competition over Christmas and New Year.

In tonight's 7.00 opener, First Division promotion candidates Ireland Rangers and Devonshire Cougars will meet in the Shield competition. The two sides played to a 3-3 draw in the league recently and this contest could also be close.
