A three-year-old Pembroke child was lying on the ground when a 58-year-old Devonshire man reversed his car, striking the child.

The child was treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for a cut to the right side of his head and abrasions to his body. He was later released.

And Police were called to a second accident that took place on Middle Road in Warwick, near the Warwick Post Office, just before 6 p.m. on Sunday.

A 54-year-old Southampton woman's bike and a car driven by a 58-year-old Warwick woman were involved in the mishap.

Mrs. James Barnett said at the time of the collision the bike was heading east on Middle Road and the car was pulling out of Cedar Hill, intending to turn into the Post Office.
