store over the weekend.

And the incident has prompted Police to again warn parents to properly supervise their young children, preventing them from getting involved in crime.

Two children, aged nine and 14, were arrested after the break-in at the Masters store at Bull's Head.

Four others have been interviewed in connection with the incident which was reported at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Police public relations officer P.c. Gary Venning said: "The break-in was reported when a passer-by saw three children jump from a second storey window of the building.

"Police attended the incident and two of the offenders were apprehended nearby. Nothing is believed to have been stolen but inquiries are continuing.'' P.c. Venning said he did not think there had been many break-ins involving children although there had been problems with thefts from stores.

"Children are unable to resist the temptation of taking things if they are unsupervised by parents,'' he said.

And he asked that parents try to stress to children the difference between right and wrong.

Of the Masters break-in, he said: "The fact that a nine-year-old is involved in this type of crime does cause some concern.'' Police are investigating the theft of stereo equipment and cassette tapes from a boat moored at the Pearman Watlington dock in Pembroke.

The boat's captain reported that the craft had been left unattended for an hour on Sunday.

Police stated that a group of youths were seen in the area and are possible suspects in the case.
