Mark Lorenzo Squires will be tried in Augusta Georgia, on six State charges of kidnapping and aggravated assault.

If convicted, prosecutors intend to ask for Squires to be imprisoned for between 75 and 100 years for the November 13, 1995 shooting in which Bermudian Charles Lyndon Fubler, Americans Sheila Kitchens and her younger brother were shot.

Squires also faces the death penalty if convicted on murder charges in North Carolina.

The trial is expected to take up to three days.
