after he was caught red-handed stealing peaches.

The 22-year-old Devonshire man was caught stealing three peaches from a Greenwich Lane, Devonshire, farm after 5 p.m. on Thursday.

When uniformed Police arrived at 5.30 p.m., the complainant and an off-duty Policeman had detained the man.

The complainant said he had been the target of similar thefts recently and would follow through with prosecution if the man did not donate funds to the SPCA.
