Concert will have spirit of Christmas

The Concert in the Park series this weekend presents Christmas Carols.The festive two-hour concert will take place in the Victoria Park in Hamilton at 5 p.m.

The festive two-hour concert will take place in the Victoria Park in Hamilton at 5 p.m.

Families are encouraged to bring a picnic and blanket to the free concert.

*** The Bermuda Academy of Music presents a Carol Concert this weekend at St.

Theresa's Cathedral in Hamilton.

Saturday's concert will feature the Bermuda Chamber Choir in period costume, baritone John York Skinner, organist Ruth Lloyd Henderson and conductor Graham Garton.

The show will begin at 8 p.m. and tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors and students.

Tickets are available from Choir members, Meyer Travel, Pianos Plus, Bermuda Academy of Music staff and at the door.

*** The Bermuda Philharmonic will fill the Ruth Seaton James Centre for the Performing Arts with festive sounds this weekend.

The Philharmonic will stage a Christmas Concert on Sunday at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $25 or adults and $15 for seniors and students. They can be purchased from the Capital G Centre at 25 Reid Street.

*** The Bermuda Youth Library will host their member's Christmas Party on December 21.

The 3.30 to 5.30 p.m. party can only be attended by members who are at least five years of age and in good standing (no overdue books) who have registered for the party by December 18.

Participants should bring an exchange gift of no more than $5 for either a girl or boy.
