Trial date set in drugs charge

Falconer, 29, pleaded not guilty to the four charges of conspiracy to import a controlled drug, importation of a controlled drug, possession of a controlled drug which was intended for supply, and handling a controlled drug intended for supply.

Falconer is accused of importing cocaine sometime between January 5 and 8.

Victoria Pearman appeared for the accused who was released on $40,000 bail with one surety.

Jamie Marie Desilva, pleaded not guilty to importation of a controlled drug, namely cannabis, and possession of a controlled drug intended for supply.

He pleaded not guilty to handling of a controlled drug which was intended for supply.

The offences were alleged to have occurred on May 12 last year and he will appear for mention on September 11 and was remanded in custody.

Two men accused of possession of a controlled drug on March 20 which was intended for supply, and handling a controlled drug which was intended for supply pleaded not guilty to these charges.

Wayne Germaine Augustus was represented by Michael Scott, while Vincent Troy Darrell was represented by Richard Horesman.

Darrell also pleaded not guilty to two additional charges of possession of drug equipment and possession of a controlled drug.

The two men had bail extended and will reappear on November 1.
