Despite the absence of Geri Mewett through a lack of funds and Elliott Hubbard through injury, the Island still figured strongly in the high profile event which ran throughout the holiday weekend.
After stage three of the elite women's road race, Melanie Claude was ranked 14th, five and a half minutes behind leader Pamela Schuster. Julia Hawley was in 48th place of the pro women's event after stage one -- the Brandon Gap road race. The field was led by Jeanne Longo.
In the men's Master 50-plus event, Bermuda's Allan Bates and Jeff Payne were 13th and 17th place respectively after the 165 kilometre race.
And in the pro men's event, Tyler Butterfield was ranked 67th after stage one.
