Sherlock, Astwood grab easy triumph

the gross division of the Bermuda Mixed Foursomes golf championships played through presistent rain over the weekend.
Sherlock and Astwood compiled a 36-hole total of 120 on the St. George's course to win comfortably from runners-up Henry Ascento and Ginette Spinucci (126).
Spinucci's peformance was highlighted by a hole-in-one on the par three fifth hole.
In the net division, victory went to Bob and Mary Bowmaster of the Indian Hills Country Club in Georgia. They carded 114 over the two days, six ahead of Ralph and Astoria Edwards (120).
Locals Richard and Donna Jones again grabbed the husband and wife trophy with a score of 135, nine better than their closest rivals, Bruce and Linda Fenton (126).
