But the ZBM employee vowed not to bow to the pressure, declaring: "I will continue.'' Ms DaCosta said she was confronted by someone warning her job was in jeopardy because the show was too political.

According to ZBM sources, the threat came from a "United Bermuda Party type''. Last night Ms DaCosta was giving little away.

"All I can say is that it is not an elected official within the UBP. The person met me face to face.'' Ms DaCosta, whose show runs daily on ZBM 1340, added the matter was now in the hands of ZBM management.

Reports of threats against Ms DaCosta were raised in the House of Assembly last Friday by PLP MP Ottiwell Simmons.

Mr. Simmons said Ms DaCosta had reportedly been warned: "Your programme is too political and if you don't break it down and change your format you may have to find another job.'' Premier Pamela Gordon told MPs Ms DaCosta should report the matter to the Police.

But Ms DaCosta said last night: "I don't regard this as a Police matter.'' She added she had received lots of support from listeners.
