Bermuda are moving closer to realisation.

Bermuda Ocean Surgical Society (BOSS) chief executive officer Richard Rymland said last night the group had settled on two sites and had reached a price agreement on one of them.

But he would not disclose the site's location as no deal was finalised.

He said a great deal of structural investigation work and strategic architectural planning had been completed on the site and BOSS was ready to move.

In October BOSS announced it would not be operating from King Edward VII Memorial Hospital as originally planned.

BOSS said it would be looking for a location where it could provide expanded facilities for patients and fulfil its doctors' requests.

Mr. Rymland said BOSS had continued to sign up doctors for the time share plastic surgery scheme and interest had grown following BOSS's announcement to move away from the hospital.

He said the doctors wanted to be able to bring their own nurses and assistants with them when they came to Bermuda and the cost of housing for the additional staff was prohibitive.

Now BOSS was working around that and intended to have staff accommodation on its own site.

This had led 38 doctors to sign preliminary agreements with BOSS and about another 30 had already bought time -- some for more than one week.
