Saturday night harness racing
Racing season at Vesey Street.
It is the second time the newly installed structures have been used at the National Equestrian Centre and it should make for an exciting evening on Saturday.
A total of 39 ponies will contest 26 races, including three feature events.
Races four, 10 and 21 will feature a cash prize for the winner with the fastest time thanks to sponsors International Fixed Odds Ltd.
Two ponies will be having their first time out this season -- Tux's Little Rocket, driven by Joseph Viera and Tell Me About It driven by Chris Wells.
Meanwhile Eddie Roque's Tuxedo's Bow Tie will once again be out to try and set a new track record.
He holds the fastest time of the season so far and will be going up against Runt's Rocket and Francis DeSilva and Shamrock Five and Johnny Five in the A Division Free for All.
Post time is 6.30 p.m. and for updates call 291-RACE.
"We are the only country in the world which divides itself into four parts in order to lose more easily to opponents.'' -- Britain's former sports minister Tony Banks, arguing for a British national soccer team, instead of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland fielding separate teams.
