construction industry, Tony Haworth said he had made the decision to run his own business.
"I wanted to do something with my hands,'' he said. But it took about a year for a business that suited Mr. Haworth to come on the market.
After researching the possibilities and making his needs known to brokers CapCar Ltd. he bought Bermuda Shutters a small 11-year-old manufacturing company from Ross McPhee in September.

Mr. Haworth said part of the attraction of the operation was that it is something he could involve his entire family in. He admitted his wife already has been charged with carrying out much of the errands and `running around'.
Bermuda Shutters import PVC from Germany and custom produce window blinds for the local Bermuda market.
"What we do is quite unique,'' he said, "no one else is doing it and we in addition to making shutters can also build door and window frames and utility doors.
"We do not use any glass and construct our pieces with louvred PVC.''
