exchange resumed trading after the Christmas break.
Bank of Butterfield shares edged up 12.5 cents to close at $34.875 on volume of 1701 shares while Commercial Bank shares increased by the same amount to close at $12 on volume of 1150.
The increases offset a 75 cent plunge in Bermuda Broadcasting shares -- trading for the first time since October 25 -- which closed at $5.25 on volume of 100.
Trading unchanged were: Bank of Bermuda, $20.25 on volume of 200; Belco, $5, 250; and Bermuda Sun, $5, 250.
Shares in the Bermuda Sun -- which faces a possible merger with Island Press -- last traded in July, 1990.
