Detectives are investigating after a woman Police officer claimed she had been sexually assaulted by a male colleague.

The incident was reported to a senior officer last week and a criminal investigation has been launched.

A Police spokeswoman said yesterday that following an in-depth investigation, a file will be prepared for the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and then a decision made as to whether or not charges should be brought.
