I personally think it's a bad idea. One reason of 100 is that our infants already has playground equipment and it has caused a few broken bones. Number two is -- after buying this stuff it is going to require some maintenance.

Number three is we will need more teachers on duty supervising kids while they are out to play because lots of things can and will happen.

Lots of people want this playground, so if we do get one this is what I want.

First, I want lots and lots of swings. Secondly, I want those grey bars that slide across a metal track. I think they are called Shoots and Slides. They are a lot of fun and most kids love them. Next I want a humongous slide that would scare the hair off my head. (By the way. I have a lot of it) Also, I want the slide to go into a pool. A fire pole would be nice. Just one more thing. We must have monkey bars -- but be for real -- we can't have all that, so what I really want is just your basic equipment and a small bridge.

The school has had a walkathon to raise money for the playground equipment. It was called "The Jericho March'' -- how cute! From the march we raised a lot of money but not nearly enough money for good sturdy playground equipment that would last long. Another thing is that we have some "special needs'' students who we have to keep in mind when planning our playground.

The PTA is trying to raise more money. Even though the teachers are really trying, lots of the M.M.1s and P.6sd are saying: "If I am not going to be here to use the equipment, why should I help raise money for the stuff?'' Teachers have not found an answer to that one but they are trying. And the boys are complaining that if they put the equipment on the field then they won't be able to play football.

Through all of the problems, I think that they will eventually get all the equipment. If they really want it. It is going to take a lot of hard work. I wish them luck. And I hope I can see the end result.
