Berkeley students write with emotions
If I told you I would be patient and wait for you while you sort out your life, if I tell you that I will trust and believe you despite everyone's many tales about you, would you say that I love you? If you could be completely honest with me, and want to be with me despite what your friends say, if you could stay true to me, yourself, and your word, should I feel that you love me too? If we gave all into making our relationship work, and kept the faith through the good and the bad times, if I leave you with a permanent smile and brightened your day in times of sorrow, would someone say that we are in love with each other? If I gave to you everything humanly possible including my own being, if I forgave you for your past, confided in you with all my trust and openly admit to loving you, would my friends criticise my affection, and even still would I listen? If I longed to touch you, to feel the warmth of your body next to mine, if our relationship was solely based on intense, passionate sensations which only lead to one thing, this would not be love, it's lust!
