Chartered accountants Zelia Amaral and Carol Foster have been promoted from assistant vice president, accounting to vice president, accounting.

And insurance accountant, Helen Baralt CMA, is being promoted to assistant vice president, accounting.

ACE Insurance President Dominic Frederico noted the promotions not only reflected the substantial growth of the company, but also the professionalism and hard work in the accounting department.

A senior auditor at a local accountancy firm where she had worked for ten years, Mrs. Amaral joined ACE in 1995 as an insurance accountant and was promoted to assistant vice president in July 1997.

Mrs. Foster was employed by top law firm Appleby, Spurling & Kempe, for five years, initially as financial controller, and for the last two years as the director of finance, before joining ACE just last May.

Mrs. Baralt worked at Ernst & Young and Arthur Gallagher before joining ACE last year as an insurance accountant responsible for the accounting of ACE's joint ventures and reinsurance.
