In fluky conditions on Tuesday, when just two races were sailed, Kirkland recorded his worst finish of 20th in the first race and 11th the following time out, to stand third overall in the Laser Radial Gold fleet.
Meanwhile, 14-year-old Wicks moved up to ninth in the Byte Gold fleet following a seventh and 23rd place finish.
Yesterday Kirkland capsized in his first race, finishing 19th, but recovered to claim a second in the final race, to place him fourth overall at the end of the event.
Wicks claimed two fifth places netting him seventh place overall out of 79 entrants.
