Colonial Parliament and one of the father figures of modern Bermuda tourism, and late Progressive Labour Party founder Wilfred Allen, both of whom died while Parliament was in recess.

Condolences were also sent to the families of the late Charles Simons, Pamela Bean, Hyacinth Jones, Helen Chapman and Ambrose Saltus.
