The complainant said he was walking along Woodlands Road around 6.35 p.m., when he was approached by the suspect.

The man asked for money, but when he was refused, he grabbed the victim's gold chain from his neck, causing a struggle between the two.

The suspect allegedly produced a knife and swung at the victim, but did not cause injury.

The suspect then fled the area, but was arrested around 2 a.m. yesterday as a result of information received by the victim.
