Teen walked across cars, ruined roofs
than a $1,500 worth of damage to two churchgoers' cars.
Marcal Moniz, 16, of Tale Lane, pleaded guilty to in Magistrates' Court to causing wilful damage to two private cars.
Police prosecutor Sgt. Kenrick James said the owners of the vehicles were attending a prayer meeting on September 13 on Cedar Hill in Warwick when they heard a very loud noise.
A resident in the area also heard the noise and looked outside where she saw Moniz walk on one of the vehicles.
Sgt. James said both cars received large dents on their hoods and tops with the damage valued at $675 for one car and $880 for the other.
Moniz told the court that at the time of the incident he had terrible thoughts on his mind about things that had happened to him.
Acting Senior Magistrate Cheryl-Ann Mapp released Moniz on $1,000 bail with a like surety and ordered him to return to court on January 31 when the report was expected to be completed.
