legislation is set to air tonight.

"Keeping Kids Safe'' will go out on ZFB at 8 p.m. It will explain the new legislation and how people can keep a safe community for their children.

The programme was set up by the Coalition for the Protection of Children and has been supported by BF&M Insurance, which is also sponsoring Child Awareness Month.

New laws passed in January made it mandatory for child abuse to be reported.

A statement from the Coalition for the Protection of Children said: "The legislation can only be effected if people understand their responsibility, know what to look for and know how to make reports.'' LEARNING ABOUT THE OUTDOORS ED ENV Learning about the outdoors Teachers and students will go outside the classroom tomorrow to celebrate the environment as part of School Grounds Day.

The event, which has been organised by Learning Through Landscapes, will see schools holding classes outside and students participating in outdoor activities like tree-planting and gardening.
