Draw tough on minnows

Commercial Division outfits left in the competition, with four drawn against Premier Division teams and the other matched against one of the better First Division sides.

Tuff Dogs and St. George's All-Stars will enter as the biggest underdogs, as they were ordered to suit up against defending champions North Village and recently crowned Martonmere Cup kings Wolves respectively.

Also facing a tremendous uphill battle are MR Onions, who will line up against Dandy Town at St. John's, while Lobster Pot have 1999 runners-up Devonshire Colts to answer to.

Meanwhile, Exiles, having had the good fortune of free pass through the first round, will have to get serious if they are to advance past Social Club.

Perhaps the most intriguing tie sees St. George's Colts taking on Southampton Rangers. Colts are riding high in the First Division, with only Paget ahead in the standings, while Rangers have been all but crucified in recent outings, having suffered consecutive batterings -- 4-0 and 7-2 -- at the hands of PHC, which will have surely erased what little confidence they had.

Remaining fixtures will see the Zebras travelling to face Somerset Eagles and Devonshire Cougars hosting Prospect.

Full draw: Dandy Town v MR Onions; Devonshire Cougars v Prospect; St. George's All-Stars v Wolves; St. George's Colts v Southampton Rangers; Lobster pot v Devonshire Colts; Somerset Eagles v PHC; Social Club v Exiles; North Village v Tuff Dogs. Games to be played on December 3.

The Special Council Meeting of all BFA affiliates will take place on Tuesday, November 28 at Young Men's Social Club, starting at 6.30 p.m.

Top of the agenda will be the report of the findings of the honorary vice-presidents regarding the validity of the presidential elections held July 24.
