The result: Three victories in four team matches against Turks & Caicos, Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands and St. Lucia.

Bermuda opened with a 10-2 win over Turks & Caicos and Caymans, then romped 11-1 over BVI before bowing 4-8 to the host team. Team officials said that match could have gone either way.

The 35 points left Bermuda in fifth place in the standings -- but with two games in hand. They were to play Barbados, Jamaica and Brazil last night.
