Joy is key to future of youth
-- JOY.
The American, who arrived in Bermuda from Denver, Colorado, last February encouraged youngsters to think of life in terms of Jesus, others and then "yourselves''.
He told a Hamilton Lions meeting yesterday that young people "will make the right decisions'' if they are encouraged by their parents and peers.
And he said youth groups would always be a hit in Bermuda, adding: "Young people are hungry for things to do.
"They just need things to do around here. When they are bored, that's when they get into trouble.
"That's why it's important to have as many activities as possible.'' He said young people did "more good things than bad'', adding that images of today's youth were distorted by negative images in movies and on TV.
