ourselves, particularly in the doubles. After the singles matches, both Donald and James said they were not happy with the way they played, but they realised their opponents were better prepared than they were.
"The feeling was that we need to play at this level more often to be able to compete in Group Three.
"Cuba are one of the strongest teams here and to lose in five sets in the doubles was really quite an achievement. After watching the singles, it made us realise that their level is not so far above us. And if things had gone for us in the fourth set, the result could have gone in our favour.
"I think we will get better as the week goes on and I think we will stick with James and Donald to play singles against Jamaica, to give them another chance.''
