Summer, and boats, arriving

Meyer Agencies reported Sunday's arrival of the Somers Isle from Fernandina Beach, Florida.She carried 113 containers, 13 of which were refrigerated, six Snipe sailing boats, another boat, 83 bundles of lumber, one equipment trailer,

sizes for leisure and racing.

She carried 113 containers, 13 of which were refrigerated, six Snipe sailing boats, another boat, 83 bundles of lumber, one equipment trailer, six bundles of PVC pipe and five bundles of steal. She sailed Monday.

The Bermuda Islander arrived Monday evening from Salem, New Jersey carrying 70 containers eight of which were refrigerated. She sailed Tuesday afternoon.

Tanker Sea Empress arrived off the east end at Five Fathom hole yesterday morning to pick up spare parts before continuing her voyage.

Container Ship Management reported Sunday's arrival of the Oleander which carried 164 containers, 126 of which were dry, 38 refrigerated.

She also discharged a mafi with machinery and equipment, a 45-foot trailer of steal and an excavator.

Also on board was a courier truck, and six boats both for race and pleasure.

Four horses were shipped to the US aboard the Oleander from Bermuda. She departed on Tuesday morning for Port Elizabeth, New Jersey.

In cruise ship news, Meyer Agencies reported Monday's arrival of the Meridian which carried 931 passengers.

This was her first call for the 1995 season out of Port Everglades, Florida.

She sailed last night.

John S. Darrell reported the arrival of the Vistafjord which carried 425 passengers from Guadeloupe in the Caribbean. She berthed at Penno's Wharf in St. George's after shifting from Hamilton yesterday morning. She leaves today for Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The agency also said it expects cement ship Espartana to arrive on Monday to discharge cement at Dockyard, and the US Navy vessel Haly Burton .
