Man has his yacht seized after drug conviction

in fines and he lost his yacht after more than 70 pounds of cannabis was found in the vessel off Bahamas last month.

His arrest and subsequent imprisonment were the result of a joint initiative between the Bermuda Police, the United States Drug Enforcement Agency and the Bahamian Police.

Richardson, 34, is married to a Bermudian. He was arrested on June 11 on board his yacht the Sirius off the Bahamas. It is believed the drugs were headed for Bermuda.

He appeared in a Bahamas court on June 14 and received the sentences.
