The writ against Mr. Davis was filed by Belco in June over outstanding debts stemming from his laundry operations.

When the writ was filed, Mr. Davis said the debts would be settled but Belco has been awarded $11,407.64 by the Supreme Court.

Mr. Davis' debt problems -- believed to be near $2 million -- surfaced in May when he was held in Magistrates' Court over a civil debt. He was released two hours later when the debt was paid.
