after only being up and running for a week, it was revealed yesterday.

More than one million viewers each day have logged on to the ProfitZone -- a specially designed web site that promises cash to those that subscribe to its new kind of on-line advertising.

Once signed up to the site a bar advertising products appears on the top of a computer screen when it is switched on.

The company promises to pay out a dividend to viewers once it is up and running with adverts and promises extra cash to those subscribers who refer new members.

The box remains at the top of the customers display screen, no matter what other programmes are running, flashing up adverts.

The scheme is run by DesktopDollars, a wholly owned subsidiary of Aryval.com Ltd. which has its headquarters in Bermuda with offices in Philadelphia and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

The company announced only last week that the ProfitZone advertising bar was available to download from the DesktopDollars website.

This week the number of visitors downloading the site reached 1 million.

"Response to our ProfitZone has been overwhelming,'' said Peter Perri, the founder and chief executive of DesktopDollars. In its latest figures the company, which was featured in The Royal Gazette yesterday, registered 1,536,437 visits.

The average length of a visit was 17 minutes and 51 seconds.

"Clearly our on-line audience represents a one-of-a-kind advertising opportunity.

"We are confident that our advertising programme will launch with as much success as our initial membership drive,'' said Mr. Perri.

Advertising space on the bars will be available from this winter, and cash dividends are expected to be paid out to subscribers from this time.
