HELPING CAL -- Calvin Ming III (right) accepts $100 raised by schoolmates to help defray his father's medical expenses. Calvin Ming Jr. is recovering from an April 3 heart transplant in the Pittsburgh Presbyterian University Hospital. Gilbert Institute head boy Jonathan Simons and head girl Heidi Madeiros presented the money, which was raised through a "Grub Day'' during which students were allowed to wear casual clothes if they paid one dollar or more.
