help tally up every person in Bermuda.

Posts up for grabs include trainers, supervisors, enumerators, editors and coders.

Chief Statistician Janet Smith-Bradshaw said 46 trainers, who must be educated to college level and have instructing or teaching experience, are needed for around 70 hours work over a six-week period between April and May 2000.

They will be trained during March in evening and weekend sessions.

Trainers will in turn instruct census supervisors and enumerators in administering the Census questionnaire and on how to use the Census control forms. Applicants must reply by February 7.

Area supervisors will do around 75 hours work spread over evenings and weekends between May and July. Supervisors must be educated, have good communication skills, have at least two year's experience supervising and know about Bermuda's topography. Applications must be submitted by February 18.

The 400 enumerators will visit all buildings within their census district to count all the people in households.

This will take about 30 hours of evening and weekend work over a three-week period between May and July 2000. The deadline for applications is February 25.

Beginning May 22, six coders and editors will work full-time for up to six months at the Census Office checking questionnaires. Applications must be submitted by February 25.

Training for area supervisors, enumerators, editors and coders is between April 7 and May 17.

Application forms are available from the Census Office, Second Floor, Global House, Church Street, Hamilton.
