The move is being made to make room for the newspaper's new Personal Finance section, which was launched last Saturday.

"Young Observer has been a very important part of The Royal Gazette's attempts to provide news and information to our younger readers for several years,'' said Royal Gazette Editor Bill Zuill.

"But we were not convinced that it was getting sufficient exposure in the Saturday newspaper. We think that publishing the page on Thursdays will increase its readership, especially because we provide newspapers to the schools on Thursdays as part of our Newspapers in Education project.'' Mr. Zuill added the newspaper was always looking for ways to expand the section and to make it more compelling for readers aged ten and older.

"We always welcome letters, ideas and submissions from readers,'' he said.
