Daylight Savings Time runs from the first Sunday in April, when clocks are put ahead one hour, to the last Sunday in October.

And the Fire Services urged residents to use the clock change as a reminder to put new batteries in their smoke detectors.

They are promoting the idea with the theme: `Change Your Clock, Change Your Battery'.
