Junita Woolridge, of Hamilton Parish, will be attending a Youth-To-Youth Speakers Bureau workshop in Ontario, California from today until Monday.

The Senior Four student is the chairperson of the Island's Youth-To-Youth Advisory Board and last year served as the secretary.

Junita has encouraged other young Bermudians to get involved with the organisation and said she was looking forward to going to California.

The conference is called "A Step Beyond''. And according to Junita it will "focus on how to organise interesting forums and panel discussions''.

Youth-To-Youth is an international organisation which encourages young people to stop drug use and other problems facing teenagers.

The group was founded in Bermuda in 1986 by Mr. Calvin Ming and Ms Diana Corday. It meets every Friday, during the school year, between 4.30 and 5.30 p.m. at the Bermuda College.
