Motorists fined

Insp. Peter Duffy, prosecuting, told the court that at 4 p.m. on March 18, said Talbot struck the rear of a bike at the bottom of Lighthouse Hill, Southampton, giving the driver a deep laceration in her leg.
In a separate case, 16-year-old Vernon Symonds was fined $200 for a collision in Somerset. Symonds, of Cooks Hill, Sandys Parish, was also disqualified for six months after he pleaded guilty to driving without due care on Main Road, Somerset on December 5.
Police prosecutor Insp. Peter Duffy said Symonds struck a motorbike rider from behind even though the cyclist was indicating to turn right.
