The air conditioning units serving the operating and recovery rooms failed on Tuesday night, the hospital said in a news release.
A replacement unit was installed yesterday morning, but more problems with air conditioning ducts then occurred.
While some elective surgery was cancelled, temporary air conditioning units were placed in two of the five operating room suites so emergency cases could safely proceed, the hospital said, adding that patient care was not compromised.
Full air conditioning was due to be back in service by late last night.
