Future business leaders to meet
tomorrow for a series of workshops.
High school students have been invited to the First Annual Future Business Leaders of Bermuda conference designed to help students develop skills to shape Bermuda's future business environment.
A spokesperson for the conference said: "It is part of education to help develop the students future in business areas.
"We're hoping to get 75 students and guests from the private sector.'' Of the island's private schools, only Bermuda High School for Girls have responded but hopes are high that all schools will participate in the conference.
National president of Future Business Leaders, Courtney Owen, is flying from Florence, South Carolina to attend the conference and lead one of the workshops.
Workshops will be held on topics like public speaking, business etiquette, leadership and investments.
Another event is the Quiz 2000, aimed at improving students achieve a greater understanding of the topics at hand.
Interested parties should call the Future Business Leaders of Bermuda counsellors at the Berkeley Institute.
