At 6 p.m. yesterday Andrew was roughly 433 nautical miles south of Bermuda.
It was moving northwest at eight knots, with 50 knot winds, gusting to 60 knots. Forecasters say it should reach its closest point to Bermuda at 4 p.m.

Andrew will only become a threat if it suddenly veered to the north.
Meanwhile, a thunderstorm watch was sounded at 6 p.m. yesterday. It will last until 6 p.m. today.
People have been warned to brace themselves for winds gusting up to 30 knots.
