"There's no call to the Bar like a Bermuda call to the Bar,'' he said Born in England, Mr. Hall moved to Canada when he was six. He attained a Bachelor's degree from the University of Toronto in 1979 and spent the following three years working as a journalist in Ontario.

In October of 1987 Mr. Hall arrived in Bermuda to join The Royal Gazette working as senior sports and news reporter and later as foreign news editor.

In 1991 he returned to Canada to study law at the University of Victoria, British Columbia, where he obtained his law degree; he was called to the B.C.

Bar in September, 1995.

Mr. Hall returned to Bermuda in late December, 1995, and joined the law firm of Appleby, Spurling & Kempe, handling commercial, financial, and personal injury litigation cases.

He is engaged to be married to Ms Bonnie Exell on October 5.
