For BLDC chiefs are looking for a new name for the old Naval Air Station in St. David's -- and they have launched a contest to let the public make the choice.

A spokesman for the BLDC said: "The purpose is to find a name that will create a new identity for the East End property and to assist the company in marketing the site, particularly overseas where there are negative perceptions about former military properties.

"The company hopes the result will be as positively received as its decision to rename the former US Naval Annex Morgan's Point.'' An entry form for the competition was carried in yesterday's edition of The Royal Gazette .
