Ambassador to speak at Seventh Day Adventist church meeting

Premier Jennifer Smith will share the podium with United Nations Ambassador Joseph Reed and a host of international speakers at the Bermuda Conference meeting of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

The two day conference slated for Thursday, will see Ms Smith kicking off as the inaugural speaker. Mr. Reed will give the keynote address talking on religious freedom in a speech entitled Globalisation, the United Nations and our World.

Professor Rosa Guerreiro of UNESCO, Dr. Rosa Maria Martinez De Condes from the department of religious affairs in Spain and Antoly Krasikov of the Russian Academy of Sciences are some of the other speakers scheduled to participate in the conference.

According to a release from the organisers, the working conference will tackle the high profile issues of discrimination and intolerance in the modern world and will seek answers through the support and promotion of religious freedom concepts as the most fundamental of human rights.
